Craft Glass Ltd (company number 11030976), trading as Crafted Windows (“we”, “us”, “our”), is the controller of personal data collected through Crafted Windows and related enquiries. Registered office: Turners Farm, Llancloudy, Hereford, HR2 8QP.
This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, how long we keep it, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- Enquiry details — name, email, phone, postcode, project interest and message when you use our quote forms or contact us.
- Call and email records — correspondence about surveys, quotes and installations.
- Website technical data — IP address, browser type and pages viewed, via essential cookies and (if you consent) analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
- Contract and installation records — addresses, specifications, guarantees and FENSA documentation when you become a customer.
How we use your data
- To respond to enquiries and arrange surveys or quotes (legitimate interests / steps toward a contract).
- To perform contracts, fit products, issue guarantees and meet legal obligations (contract / legal obligation).
- To improve our website and understand traffic when you allow analytics cookies (consent).
- We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for unsolicited marketing unless you have asked us to stay in touch.
Who we share data with
We may share data with trusted processors who help us run the business — for example hosting providers, email systems, and manufacturers or certification schemes (such as FENSA / Installsure) where needed for your order or guarantee. They must only use the data on our instructions.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
How long we keep it
Enquiry data that does not become a job is normally kept for up to 24 months. Customer and guarantee records are kept for the life of the guarantee and a reasonable period afterwards (typically up to 10 years from installation) to meet legal and warranty needs.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or data portability where the law allows. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
